Robinson infuriates Spurs chairman Levy

Apart from his England problems, Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson is also under fire from his club and is facing a fine of a week's wages after slamming the board.

Speaking after the Wembley defeat, Robinson, 27, branded the board's decision to court Sevilla coach Juande Ramos as "ridiculous" and criticised them for threatening to unseat manager Martin Jol so early in the season.

The Daily Mail says Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy was furious when he read what he regards as disrespectful comments yesterday and directors will decide whether to sanction the player when they meet in Manchester ahead of Sunday's game at Old Trafford.
