Robins sees Barnsley move stall

Former Manchester United striker Mark Robins' move to Barnsley as new manager has stalled.

The Tykes had been expected to unveil Robins as a replacement for Simon Davey, who departed Oakwell by mutual consent at the end of last month, but remain locked in talks with Rotherham.

A club statement read: "Barnsley Football Club are still in protracted negotiations with Rotherham United FC regarding a compensation package for manager Mark Robins and his backroom team and these discussions have not been concluded at present.

"Barnsley Football Club hope to be in a position to unveil its new manager in the very near future."
