Robinho has told Manchester City boss Mark Hughes he needs to lift the quality in his squad during the January market.
"We are still lacking a lot of cohesion," he said. "The team has great players despite our recent results, but we have to want to win every game against every opponent.
"We must never be content with a draw, and I never like to lose.
"Brazilian clubs sack their coaches quickly if the team is not doing well. Things are different at City, we have a medium-term project, and it is a good one.
"Mark Hughes is struggling to assemble a good team, and I hope he succeeds this season with the aid of the signings he'll make in January.
"And that is with no disrespect to the players currently in the squad, who are working very hard."
