Manchester City forward Robinho has rejected speculation that he is about to re-join Santos. Santos president Marcelo Teixeira had claimed that the Brazil international had made some statements suggesting he would like to return to the club, but also admitted that the financial situation would make this move difficult.

Speaking to Setanta Sports, Teixeira said, "Robinho made some suggestions. He is not satisfied with the English club.

"He revealed an interest in coming back, but we know this is difficult because of the financial situation."

Speaking to globosporte.com, Robinho retorted, "I am very happy at City. Santos are the team of my heart and one day I want to go back, but not now."
