The Brazil international is contracted to Real until 2010 and could effectively take advantage of the 'Webster Law' and buy out his current deal at the end of this season.

Marca says Real have moved quickly to end any such thoughts from Robinho by assuring his agent, Wagner Ribeiro, that a new five-year deal will be put on the table matching the £4 million salary skipper Raul currently enjoys.

Ribeiro was in Madrid last month to discuss Robinho's contract situation with Real sports director Pedja Mijatovic.
