Robinho: Daniel Alves would be good for Real Madrid

Daniel Alves saw last night's midnight transfer deadline pass without any late offers arriving and he will stay with Sevilla until January - at least.

Robinho said: "Alves is a great player and a good person. His transfer is a subject for the directors, but if he had come to Real Madrid he would have helped.

"I do not know how much Daniel Alves is worth, but I know that he is a great player and a good person. In Real Madrid, Sergio Ramos is playing in his position and Michel Salgado is also very good."

On working with coach Bernd Schuster, Robinho added: "The coach likes touch players and to keep the ball. Not only that, he wants that we win but do it playing well. Hopefully it can be the year of Real Madrid.

"Schuster gives everyone opportunities and I want to demonstrate that I can be a starter."
