Jason Roberts is furious with the £4 million price-tag slapped on him by Blackburn Rovers.

The Mirror says Roberts hopes to quit Ewood Park and was even left off the bench last weekend as Rovers prepare to cash in on him during the transfer window.

But chairman John Williams is driving a hard bargain in negotiations - and is looking for even more than the £3m Blackburn paid to Wigan 18 months ago.
