Roberts delighted with Blackburn comeback

Jason Roberts was delighted with his performance in Blackburn's 2-2 draw at Fulham on Sunday.

The former Wigan striker, who was back in the squad for the first time in two months, proved to be his side's saviour by laying on second half goals for Brett Emerton and Stephen Warnock.

"It was just nice to get back on the pitch again," said Roberts, who is fit again after a thigh injury. "Obviously, it was disappointing to see Benni get injured but, from my point of view, it was nice to be back involved again.

"It was always going to be hard because Fulham is never an easy place to come, but I thought we showed a lot of character to come back twice, and maybe we are even a little bit disappointed that we didn't go on and win it in the end.

"It's a measure of how far we've come that we come to places like this and want to get the three points but, at the same time, after being down twice, coming back to get a point has to be a positive for us."
