Roberto Gagliardini delighted with winning Inter Milan debut

Roberto Gagliardini was delighted with a winning Inter Milan debut against Chievo.

The Nerazzurri fought back from a goal down to beat Chievo 3-1 this evening, their fifth consecutive Serie A victory.

“I am happy with my performance, that of the team and also the result," he told Inter Channel.

“I need to improve so much in front of goal, to be more determined and accurate. There were some chances I wasn't good enough to convert.

“It was really pleasing to have been welcomed by the fans and I felt very much at ease. Obviously there were unbelievable emotions flooding through me when I walked up the steps on to the pitch. It's difficult to explain, a unique feeling.

“It's a habit of mine before a game to inspect the pitch and I asked Gabigol if he wanted to accompany me. It's a ritual of mine and I got to enjoy San Siro when it was still empty.

“The fans carried on cheering throughout and it is also thanks to them we were able to turn it around."
