Roberto Carlos has urged Real Madrid fans not to lose patience with coach Manuel Pellegrini and his players. The Brazilian has confirmed he is leaving Fenerbahce to join Ronaldo's Corinthians for next season.

But on former club Real, Roberto Carlos says: "Manuel Pellegrini is a very great coach, he is doing very well. Where he is now, there's always a lot of pressure. I hope people have patience, because there are great players at Madrid.

"It may be that Real Madrid is not playing in a good fashion, but before long they will be very great.

"At Real Madrid there is a lot of pressure, much expectation, but people need to be patient."
