Fenerbahce star Roberto Carlos believes LA Galaxy may struggle to hold onto David Beckham once he experiences AC Milan. The Brazil great said: "At Milan, he has to do the same as he did when he came to Madrid. He has to go to play, and to play well.
"It can't be for the commercial side, just to sell shirts. He's a really focused player - he only thinks about his performances. People have the impression that he's just interested in the commercial side but that doesn't interest him.
"He's decided to come back to Europe to play for the national team as much as anything, and to play first-team football.
"It surprised me that he went to America, where the standard of football is much lower. He went because it was an important decision for his personal life, for his wife and his family.
"Now he's going back to a great city where the standard of football is much higher and where there's just as much pressure as is in Madrid. But at least that means he'll be used to it."
