Robert Snodgrass pleased with Norwich debut

Robert Snodgrass was pleased to make his Norwich City debut against Ajax.

The winger arrived last week from Leeds United.

"It was good to get on the park in front of these fans," said Snodgrass, the third of manager Chris Hughton's four summer signings, to the Pink 'Un. "You want a little bit more time but that's where you are as a player. But I think the gaffer is slowly but surely bringing me into it, getting me used to my team-mates, and a team like Ajax is always a hard test for the lads.

"I'm fine on the fitness side of things, it's just match fitness, to try to get that under my belt is the most important thing. There are a couple of games coming up so I'm sure I'll play some part in those to try to get my fitness up."
