Manchester United legend Bryan Robson expects Robin van Persie to be named new club captain. The position is currently vacant after Nemanja Vidic's departure to Inter Milan.

"Robin was his captain of Holland, so that is an obvious one," Robson told Press Association Sport.

"I would be really surprised if he didn't give Robin it."
