Arjen Robben has urged Real Madrid fans to get behind young Dutch wing-back Royston Drenthe.

Drenthe has been barracked by home fans this season and Robben said: "He is very young and is struggling because when people boo you feel the pressure and it is more difficult.

"He's a boy of 21 years and I hope that next time he plays the fans will help him because they need to - he has the potential to be a big player for Madrid."
