Real Madrid winger Arjen Robben has hailed Manchester United ace Cristiano Ronaldo as "a phenomenon".

Asked if Real should sign Ronaldo, Robben told AS: "He always plays in my position, but I am not the person who must decide this. We have much quality in the team, but if the managers want to bring him then this is good.

"If you see what he is doing now in Manchester, not only in the last two or three weeks, he is the most important player, a phenomenon for his age… He is a wonder."
