Despite defeat to Villarreal, Real Madrid winger Arjen Robben insists the players had shown an improvement in attitude.

The loss handed the championship to Barcelona, but Robben says: "Against Valencia we had a bad day, but it's difficult after losing 2-6 against Barcelona. It is difficult to recover from that.

"This time, the players showed pride. It is an honour to wear the shirt of Real Madrid and every player has to give their all."
