Arjen Robben has backed Real Madrid's bid for former Chelsea teammate Didier Drogba.

The former Blues winger said: "Not only is he a great soccer player, he is a magnificent person. I would really like it if he came to Madrid, although I am not in charge of this decision.

"For me, he is a great forward, one of the best ones in the world. He is incredibly strong and he can score a pile of goals."
