Newcastle United cruised to a 4-0 friendly win over Sydney FC in New Zealand today.
The touring Toon did the damage in the first half, with Siem de Jong, Emmanuel Riviere, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa and Adam Armstrong scoring the goals.
It was De Jong's second goal in two preseason appearances for Newcastle, while Riviere also was on the scoresheet on debut.
"It was an important win for us," said Newcastle defender Steven Taylor.
"We are looking forward to Man City now."
