Sunderland boss Steve Bruce will continue to shop in the South American transfer market next month.
Bruce has been tipped off about Diego Buonanotte and intends to move for the River Plate star, says the Daily Star.
Buonanotte was once named the 'new Maradona' and Bruce sees him as offering Sunderland the cutting edge they need to finish in the European places this season.
The young midfielder has also attracted serious interest from Real Madrid, Barcelona and AC Milan in the past.
