After completing his sensational move to Uzbekistan earlier this month, the World Cup winner made an ideal start to his Bunyodkor career as the 36-year-old opened the scoring after 12 minutes.

And the former Barcelona striker wrapped up a perfect evening as he sealed the win with a minute remaining.

The three points see Bunyodkor, who were previously known as PFC Kurivchi, open up a eight point cushion over second-placed defending champions Pakhtakor, who have played two games less.
