Italy technical chief Gigi Riva has told Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli his door is always open.
Riva is delighted new Italy coach Cesare Prandelli has named Balotelli in his squad for tonight's friendly against Ivory Coast.
He said: "I spoke to him over the last few days. I told him that whenever he has a problem, don't hesitate to come to me and we'll face it together. He seemed calm and ready to listen. Perhaps people haven't quite understood his personality.
"Mario is an excellent player, he needs to understand that in football there are highs and lows, but that mustn't make you lose your head. You always need a balance and common sense."
