Inverness Caledonian Thistle goalkeeper Dean Brill says that Gary Hooper's success with Celtic shows that the Scottish Premier League is a quality league.
Hooper has starred for the Hoops since joining from Scunthorpe United in 2010 and Brill, who has signed a six-month loan with Caley from Luton Town, feels the SPL has made him an even better player than when he scored in the Football League Trophy final in 2009 which the Hatters won 3-2.
"It was obvious he was quality. He scored in that final - it must have been a great goal to beat me!," Brill joked.
"You could tell it was only a matter of time before he moved on to bigger and better things. Now he's getting talked about in terms of deals worth millions of pounds.
"It shows what can be achieved by coming here but I wouldn't say the Scottish football is a launchpad.
"This is a great league in its own right and a high standard of football with big clubs."
