St Mirren have secured the services of Esmael Goncalves from Portuguese club Rio Ave.
The 21-year old Guinea-Bassau-born Portuguese striker will spend the rest of the season on loan with the Scottish club and could make his debut in Sunday's Scottish League Cup semi-final against Celtic subject to an international clearance.
Goncalves was on loan with Nice in France's Ligue 1 last season and had the option to return to a French club on loan but has instead opted to join St Mirren on a six-month deal.
