Reacting to reports that he had informed his backroom staff that he was preparing to leave the Nou Camp, Rijkaard told Catalunya Radio that if the club did not dismiss him, he would continue as coach next season.
The Dutchman also revealed he was happy with the addition of Marc Ingla as new football director: "We hold meetings and they're very often present in the locker room. They want to know what we are doing, the goals we have, training, etc. ..."
On his relationship with Ronaldinho, Rijkaard added: "We have to congratulate him for his game against Stuttgart, but this is not the time to stop. His mentality has been very good. What I saw was very impressive. Gradually he is improving. He is a key player for us.
"I am happy with Ronaldinho and his mentality. It has not been easy for him. His mentality, companionship and joy in the locker room is essential. He is a great person. Another thing is that on the field you must play to the fullest. He needs love and help, but we must not dramatize the situation."
