Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard admitted it was a depressed dressing room after victory over Celtic last night - due to the thigh injury suffered by Lionel Messi.
"It is a very sad subject for the player and us," said Rijkaard. "He is an important player and it affects us all. Let us hope that he recovers as quickly as possible. We all have a somewhat sad feeling at the moment."
Messi was in tears as he left the pitch and Rijkaard defended the Argentine.
"He didn't want to leave," said the Dutchman. "It was a natural reaction."
Messi is expected to be out for a month.
