John Arne Riise says Fulham teammate Clint Dempsey deserves the plaudits coming his way.

He has 10 goals in all competitions in 2012 and only Wayne Rooney, with 13, and Robin Van Persie, with 12, have bettered him.

Riise said: "He's a quality player, always in front of goal and likes to score. If he doesn't score he's always disappointed.

"He's a goalscoring midfielder and I enjoy playing on the left with him because we have a good working relationship now we know each other very well.

"No matter what happens in a game we can always rely on him. He scores with every part of his body as well. You never know what he's going to do.

"He's a good guy and he deserves all the success."
