Fulham wing-back John Arne Riise drew positives from their 1-1 draw against Southampton.
The result leaves Fulham just six points off the drop zone and heightens the importance of Saturday's visit of Swansea to Craven Cottage.
"We have had some bad results lately but the team has worked hard on the training ground," Riise said.
"You could see everybody was really fired up. They really wanted to show the fans that we're back to normal.
"But they made it hard for us and even though we worked hard for the fans and ourselves to get back on track it takes some time.
"We have just got to recover now and get ready for the Swansea game, which will be another tough battle and hopefully we can get three points."
