AS Roma fullback John Arne Riise says they can look forward to the new season with excitement.
Riise believes they can challenge for the title, despite the club's ownership woes.
"I like Claudio Ranieri a lot especially the way he trains us and his strategies," said the former Liverpool man. "He has asked me to attack a lot but it is important that I defend too.
"I am in good shape now and this is fundamental. My first season here wasn't that good but I did well last year.
"With Adriano and Fabio Simplicio we are definitely stronger. Our squad is competitive and we look to improve each season.
"This year we have three targets and we want to do well in all competitions. Then of course doing well in Champions League is really important."
