Rift widens between Real Madrid attackers Higuain, Ronaldo

There is growing tension between Real Madrid attacking pair Cristiano Ronaldo and Gonzalo Higuain after this week's Champions League failure against Lyon. Marca says twice Ronaldo visibly complained to Higuain for not passing to him when in a goal scoring position during the 1-1 draw.

The Portuguese grew increasingly frustrated with Higuain's play, with claims that teammates are worried the Argentine is becoming obsessed with finishing the season as Spain's top scorer.

Guti hinted at the rift in his post-match comments when declaring: "We need to stop playing as individuals and more as a team."
