Cardiff City chairman Peter Ridsdale has played down reports that Birmingham co-owner David Sullivan will buy into the club.
Ridsdale told BBC Sport: "I asked someone who is close to David Sullivan to speak to him. I was told the stories are not true and he had no interest in investing in Cardiff City Football Club.
"But if David, like any other interested party, wants to invest in Cardiff City then all he has to do is ring me up and talk to me.
"All I am is chairman and chief executive of a club that has a number of shareholders. And it is the shareholders that decide who owns the club over a period of time.
"Anyone that comes in with a big enough chequebook can be the next owner of Cardiff City Football Club - but clearly it would have to be at the right price."
