Liam Ridgewell is convinced things are looking up for West Bromwich Albion with new manager Pepe Mel.
The defender does not think the team has deteriorated this season and believes new manager Pepe Mel can do the business.
"I wouldn't say it has been a season of underachievement," said Ridgewell. "We are trying to emulate what we did last year, which is difficult.
"We did well when Keith (Downing) took charge, and everyone was upbeat and working hard for the club. Hopefully we can carry that on under the new gaffer."
