Former Velez Sarsfield midfielder Ricky Alvarez is thrilled with his move to Inter Milan. Inter beat Arsenal and Palermo to the youngster after agreeing a 12m fee with Velez Sarsfield.
"This is a dream come true for me," he told Sky Sport Italia after arriving in Italy from Argentina this morning.
"I've always been an Inter fan, ever since I was a little boy," added the player who appears on today's front page of La Gazzetta dello Sport in an Inter shirt while he was a kid.
"I feel ready for this new adventure," added the 23-year-old uncapped attacking midfielder.
"I'm arriving at one of the biggest clubs in the world and I am here to win everything that is on offer."
The South American is expected to be handed a five-year contract by the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza outfit.
"I aspire to be like Zinedine Zidane," he added. "I go to Inter with humility and with ambition.
"I will find a lot of Argentines already at the club and they will help me to adapt to my new life, in a championship that is different from the one in Argentina.
"I really wanted Inter and I was surprised by how quickly the deal was done."
