Sam Ricketts says Hull City's 0-0 draw at Chelsea has given them the shot in the arm they needed.

"At times you just need that shot in the arm as a little reminder and a confidence boost," the Wales fullback told the Hull Daily Mail.

"All the lads knew it was there and no-one was panicking, but the Chelsea game reaffirmed it in everyone's minds and we're all eager to push on.

"Chelsea was a great result and a great confidence boost to everyone. It got us back to how we were playing earlier on in the season and just proved to us and everyone else that we haven't lost what we are good at."
