Richarlison has apologised to Everton teammates after his dismissal in their 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.
The forward, 21, was shown a red card by ref Lee Probert on 41 minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct following a heated exchange with Adam Smith.
Richarlison tweeted: "I know I've made a mistake and there's some lessons to learn about yesterday... And I'm learning on the hardest way.
"I apologise to my club, team-mates and fans."
He will could face further FA sanctions on top of the standard red card suspension.
