Richards sees Inter Milan as option ahead of Man City exit

Outgoing Manchester City defender Micah Richards has identified Roberto Mancini's Inter Milan as one of his preferred destinations.

The 26-year-old played under Mancini during the Italian's reign at the Etihad Stadium and admits he would like to link up with him as he gets set to leave City this summer.

"The Premier League is fantastic but I had my best season at City under Roberto Mancini and obviously he's at Inter Milan now, so maybe that could be an option," he said in an interview with the Daily Mail.

"I think he definitely got the best out of me. As a coach I think Mancini was really good, and had he been given more time I think he could have done something special at City. I think he has proved he is a top line manager."

Richards spent last season on loan with Inter's Serie A rivals Fiorentina after finding limited playing opportunities at Etihad Stadium.
