Aston Villa defender Micah Richards missed his side's 3-1 loss to Tottenham on Monday night after being handed a one-game suspension by the Football Association.

Richards was deemed to have breached FA Rule E3 following his actions that lead to a incident in the tunnel after Villa's 3-0 loss to Swansea last weekend.

The 27-year-old former Manchester City star was also handed a £10,000 fine for his 'improper conduct'.
