Micah Richards believes Manchester City's new attacking approach had a lot to do with their 2-1 UEFA Cup victory at AC Omonia last night.

The England defender told City's website: "I think the way we won says a lot about our game, we should have had it finished off in the first half because we created a lot of chances but did not put them away.

"We deserve a lot of credit, when they scored our heads could have gone down but we hit back and got the two goals that we wanted."
