Ribery wants Real Madrid ahead of Man Utd, Barcelona

Real Madrid remain favourites for Bayern Munich wing ace Franck Ribery.

Despite reports of a world record £63 million offer from Manchester United and the close relationship Bayern enjoys with Barcelona, L'Equipe
says Ribery wants to move to Madrid in the summer.

The main factor in the transfer scramble has been the presence of Zinedine Zidane, who is due to return to Real as part of Florentino Perez's football staff - if he wins next month's presidential elections.

also u talk about debt ridden clubs.. how many times has the 'best' side in england had to sell a training ground or get bailed out by the government to clear its debts? oh yea thats right.. never! however in spain this is not the case as real madrid have had to do both in the past. and as it stands right now they continue to take hundreds of steps backwards. like many of the ppl here have said you need to build a team around young developed talent not just buy lots of attacking stars as that doesnt work.

If the other leagues are so much better then why year after year do the english teams always make the semi finals of the champ league. where are ur real madrids, at madrids, villareals this year? oh yes dumped out of the competition. Also football is as much about defense as it is about attack.. just ask italy.. look at the number of world cups they have won and their game is based on a strong defense. Also the other reason why the EPL is better than La Liga is because apart from Barcelona all the other teams are mediocre right now. I mean when the team in first place can beat the second place side 6-2 which is the kind of victory ud expect between the top and bottom sides.. it shows that the league is poor. Dont get me wrong though, right now serie A bundesliga etc. are all considerably worse.
