Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) president Luis Rubiales insists the players were not involved in Julen Lopetegui's sacking on Wednesday.
Lopetegui was relinquished of his duties as national team manager just one day before the commencement of the World Cup, following his decision not to warn the RFEF of his decision to join Real Madrid at the end of the tournament.
"I have listened to everyone, but the decision is mine," he told El Partidazo de COPE .
"The players are completely determined to make a great World Cup. There is no mutiny, the players are doing very well."
