Zlatan Ibrahimovic has talked up former PSG teammate Blaise Matuidi to Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.
France Football says while Matuidi's agent, Mino Raiola, has not spoken directly to Mourinho about Matuidi, Ibrahimovic has championed the midfielder to United officials.
Reporter Nabil Djellit told L'Equipe 21: "I've inquired, (Unai) Emery does not at all count on Matuidi.
"He's brought Krychowiak, one of his men based in Sevilla. I was told that there was no direct contact between Raiola and Manchester United. However, they also say that Zlatan has directly tested the ground for him.
"Indeed, Manchester becomes a strong possibility. Matuidi is smart, he knows he may be at the end of his cycle with PSG. He is deep in thought as well.
"In his place I'd go. This is not a regression. Mourinho is rebuilding the club. Matuidi still has an outstanding CV. He would make a huge impact at United."
