Zinedine Zidane chose to quit Real Madrid in May over his relationship with a clique of players, it has been claimed.

Zidane resigned as Real coach just days after winning the Champions League final in Kiev.

Okdiario's chief pundit Eduardo Inda, speaking with El Chiringuito TV, revealed Zidane walked away after being frustrated with a group of 7-8 players.

Inda says the two parties were barely on speaking terms and that was a key motivator in the Frenchman resigning.

Zidane has stated he expects to stay out of football this season, though intends to eventually return to club management.
