REVEALED: Why Liverpool face £6.5M compo bill to sign Ings

Liverpool face having to pay huge compensation to land Burnley's off contract striker Danny Ings. Ings is out of contract in July but, because he is under 24 years old, Burnley are entitled to compensation if he moves to another club.

The Lancashire Telegraph says Burnley would be due £3 million from Liverpool should they beat Real Sociedad to his signature.

However, that fee would jump to £6.5 million if Ings is capped by England before he comes off contract.
