Liverpool signing Naby Keita has taken the No8 shirt thanks to his Dad.
The Liverpool Echo says Keita could have taken the No 10 shirt instead.
That number was worn by Coutinho before his move to Barcelona back in January. However, Keita chose to take on the No 8 shirt instead.
He selected it because he wants to emulate Reds legend Steven Gerrard, who was the idol of his father, Sekou Keita.
Liverpool unveiled Keita yesterday with the midfielder signing from Bundesliga giants RB Leipzig in a £52million transfer deal.
