Real Madrid president Florentino Perez insists his refusal to consider new contract talks with Cristiano Ronaldo is nothing personal.

Ronaldo and his agent, Jorge Mendes, has pushed hard for Perez to open negotiations about a pay-rise.

However, Perez has refused to consider the prospect and Diario Gol says he does so thinking of the balance of the entire locker room.

The president has been warned, should he grant Ronaldo's demands, it will only see a queue form outside his office door from other players demanding similar pay-rises.

Skipper Sergio Ramos, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, Isco Alarcon and Toni Kroos would all be front and centre wanting their contracts to be redrawn.
