The midfielder came off contract at the end of last term.
Fellaini finally agreed a new deal at United and reports in Belgium today have revealed why he turned down other big money deals to stay a the club.
Het Nieuwsblad reports Fellaini's decision was down to his desire to continue playing for his country and staying at United was thought to be the best way to do that.
The veteran's new deal now runs to 2020.
