Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho dropped Eric Bailly for Monday's defeat to Tottenham.
The Manchester Evening News says Bailly was not injured for United's 3-0 defeat to Tottenham on Monday night and was dropped by Mourinho.
Bailly was blameworthy for Brighton's three goals in United's shambolic 3-1 reverse at the Amex Stadium eight days before he was omitted from the matchday squad against Tottenham. Mourinho refused to clarify why Bailly did not feature at Old Trafford but the MEN can reveal the 24-year-old centre-back was demoted due to a 'technical decision'.
Juan Mata, Andreas Pereira and Anthony Martial were all substituted at Brighton and also cut from the Tottenham squad but Bailly's absence was particularly costly as United's new-look defence conceded three more goals.
