Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero could bring legal action to the pitch invader he clashed with at Wigan Athletic on Monday night.

The Mirror says Aguero is considering legal action against the Wigan fan who allegedly spat and swore at him following Manchester City's shock FA Cup defeat.

Aguero was involved in an altercation with the fan during an ugly pitch invasion from Wigan supporters following their 1-0 win over the Premier League leaders.

City sources have revealed Aguero has alleged the fan spat at him and said "suck my d***" as the Argentina forward tried to make his way to the sanctuary of the dressing-room and escape the pitch invasion.

Aguero met with City's lawyers at the clubs training base yesterday to give his version of events and has provided a statement which will be submitted to the FA, along with video evidence, to support their case.
