REVEALED: West Brom scuppered Isco's Malaga return

Malaga were in advanced talks to bring Isco back from Real Madrid last month, it has been revealed.

The midfielder is again being linked with a return to Malaga.

And El Confidencial says Isco would already be a Malaga player if West Brom had managed to sign Ignacio Camacho.

Malaga intended to sell the midfielder to Albion and use the funds to sign Isco. However, as West Brom dithered, Malaga feared time was running out to seal a deal for Isco and so pulled out of all negotiations.

Malaga owner, Sheikh Al Thani, would later assure Isco: "My son Isco. Someday you will return to Malaga. I'm sure of that."
