REVEALED: Veron jets to London as Estudiantes accept Tottenham Juan Foyth bid

Tottenham have tabled a €10 million offer for Estudiantes defender Juan Foyth.

Tribalfootball.com has been informed Spurs lodged the bid last week - with Estudiantes prepared to accept. Indeed, the Argentine's chairman, Juan Sebastian Veron, will board a flight Tuesday for England to thrash out final details with Spurs officials in London.

Accompanying Veron, the former Manchester United and Chelsea midfielder, on the trip will be a member of Foyth's management team.

New Estuadiantes coach Gustavo Matosas has agreed to leave Foyth out of Tuesday's game with Potosi so not to put at risk a deal which would be club record for the Argentines.

Foyth has also attracted a bid from Marcelo Bielsa's Lille and Zenit St Petersburg, but both offers have fallen short of Tottenham's proposal.

With news of Veron's trip now in the public arena, it's expected LOSC and Zenit will seek to intercept the Estudiantes supremo while in Europe in an attempt to rumble Spurs' plans.

Veron had hoped to negotiate a loan return for Foyth, but his former Argentina teammate Mauricio Pochettino, the Spurs manager, has made it clear he wants the teen to immediately join his squad for the new season.

Interestingly, Foyth has played more games for Argentina U20, than he has for Estudiantes' first team. He was given his senior debut last season by former Arsenal fullback and Estudiantes coach Nelson Vivas.
