Released Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes is edging closer to moving to Liverpool. The Spaniard is in the final stages of his recovery from knee surgery and is in talks with Liverpool over a move to Anfield.
Adding weight to the deal is the revelation that Valdes' agent was at Anfield on Saturday for victory over West Bromwich Albion.
Valdes had signed a pre-contract with AS Monaco last season, only for that to be ripped up after he failed a medical over the summer.
